Report: Frozen Iraqi funds released by European country

Frozen Iraqi assets were recently released by an unnamed European country, according to a newspaper report.
The head of the Iraq Central Bank told El-Mosour El-Arab newspaper that these funds should be used to import foodstuffs to Iraq, which has suffered under sanctions maintained against it for seven years.
The head of the Iraqi Central Bank said the rate of exchange between the Iraqi dinar and the US dollar will improve in the coming days, explaining that there is no plan to exchange the Iraqi currency or remove any paper currency from circulation.
