Development rate in Egypt could reach 7% by the year 2000

Khaled Ikram, the World Bank's representative in Egypt, confirmed that Egypt is capable of increasing its economic growth rate to 7% by the year 2000 from its current rate of 5% and said this increase will contribute to reducing poverty as enhance job creation.
He said the World Bank is now studying technical aid to advance Egyptian development issues.
