Jordan-Egypt-USA, Politics, 3/31/1998
King Hussein of Jordan, who is now in the USA, discussed with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on the telephone developments in the Middle East Peace process and the efforts being made to push the process forward, particularly on the Israeli-Palestinian track.
The two leaders reiterated the need to intensify endeavors to push the peace process forward.
King Hussein has been in the US for more than two weeks, receiving medical treatment. He met with President Clinton earlier this month.
The king is eager to resume direct contacts between the Iraqi government and the US administration, a proposal refused by the White House.
