Egypt to host international exhibition of information technology

A major international exhibition for information technology and communications will be held in Cairo on May 23-26, said the general coordinator of the conference Khaled Naser El-Din, who added that this marks the first time the exhibition will be held in the Middle East.
He said Egypt's rate of spending in the information technology sector has $278 million, with computers grabbing of the biggest share, $100 million.
He also said Egypt will become a regional center for programming in the Middle East, especially after applying rules for the protection of intellectual property and having qualified human resources.
More than 100 international and Arab companies, will participate in the conference.
