Amnesty International conference held in Fez

Amnesty International sources stated that associations affiliated with the human rights organization will hold today a regional conference in the Moroccan city of Fez, that will tackle women's situations in Morocco, within celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The sources said the conference's target is to reinforce the political will in Morocco toward women's issues and the protection of human rights and to fulfill what was agreed upon at the 1995 United Nation's conference in Peking.
The opening session will be attended by officials related to women's issues, and the consultations will include many between 35 and 40 participants, including the Moroccan chapter of Amnesty International and deputies from other non-governmental organizations.
