Japan grants US $6.4 million to Jordan

An agreement between Jordan and Japan was cosigned on Thursday, stating that the Japanese government will offer a grant of US $6.4 million to purchase medical equipment for state-run hospitals in Jordan.
The agreement was cosigned by Jordanian Minister of Planning Dr. Rima Khalaf and the Japanese ambassador in Amman.
Meanwhile, acting Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah al-Nsour on Thursday met with the UN delegation in charge of compensating countries affected by the Gulf War. Al-Nsour gave details about the aid offered by Jordan to some 400,000 Jordanian citizens and over 1.5 million people from various nationalities who flocked into Jordan following the Gulf War.
