Lebanese civilians wounded in Israeli attacks on Barachit

Israeli occupation forces on Thursday violated the April Understanding as it bombarded with heavy artillery residential areas in several south Lebanon villages.
The attacks resulted in the wounding of several civilians. In retaliation, Lebanese resistance forces attacked Israeli positions, scoring direct hits. In the afternoon Israeli forces shelled several towns adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the bombardment covered the outskirts of Barachit and its residential areas. The wounded were taken to Tabnin hospital.
The source added that the bombardment also covered the eastern al-Nabatieh city, the surroundings of the abandoned Lebanese army barracks in al-Nabatieh, and the outskirts of Zoutar, al-Hamra farm, al-Zahrani river course, al-Sarira hills and al-Qatrani in the western Bekaa.
Israeli warplanes flew over Sidon and al-Tuffah district and were intercepted by Lebanese anti-aircraft fire. The Israeli artillery also hit with heavy artillery the residential areas in al-Henieh, al-Mansouri, Zabqin, al-Bottum mount and al-Asi area. The attacks coincided with heavy machine-gun fire against routes leading to these villages.
The Israeli shelling also targeted Barachit, Tabnin and Shakra in the area adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Lebanese security sources said the Israeli forces on Thursday arrested a Lebanese policeman, Marwan Abu Samra, accusing him of dealing with the Lebanese resistance. He was taken to al-Khiam camp.
Resistance forces attacked two Israeli positions in al-Debsheh and al-Shqeif castle in south Lebanon with rockets and machine-gun fire. In the afternoon they attacked an Israeli position in al-Radar hill in the western sector of south Lebanon, and direct hits were recorded.
