Continuation of violence in Algeria

Islamist violence and security efforts against them continue in Algeria, where Algerian security clashed yesterday with terrorists killing two in the states of Tiaret and Tizi Ouzou and arresting another 17 in Mila state.

Also, Le Matin newspaper referred to the success of security forces in neutralizing a bomb placed near El-Shabna, 30 kilometers east of the capital.The device was to explode around the time of the students' arrival to school.

The newspaper also reported that eyewitnesses stated a new troop of the Armed Islamic Group in the eastern area of the Algerian capital had created an atmosphere of fear in the district by injuring a number of individuals.
