Russian envoy arrives in Muscat

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Viktor Posovaluke on Sunday said he discussed with Sultan of Oman Qaboos Bin Saeed the Middle East peace process.
In a statement to the Omani news agency, Posovaluke said the ME peace process has reached a stalemate, calling for international efforts to restart the process.
The Russian envoy added that he conveyed a communique to Sultan Qaboos from Russian President Boris Yeltsin pertaining to bilateral relations between the two countries. He said that during the meeting Qaboos stressed "the need to take further steps towards developing relations between Oman and Russia."
