Israeli troops attack al-Rafai mountain

Israeli occupation forces on Sunday afternoon attacked areas adjacent to the occupied south Lebanon, including the al-Tuffah district heights.

Lebanese security sources said Israeli artillery in the al-Zafata occupation position shelled al-Rafai mountain, Litani river bed and al-Taseh spring course as well as Milta and Lweiza hills.

The sources added that the attacks were accompanied by heavy machine-gun fire against mountainous roads linking al-Tuffah district to the occupied sector of south Lebanon.

Earlier in the day, Israeli occupation forces renewed their attacks on the adjacent areas of the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery positioned in Zafata and Shqaif on Sunday bombarded Nabatieh al-Fouka outskirts and the abandoned Lebanese army barracks in Nabatieh.

The artillery bombardment was accompanied with intensive mock raids by Israeli war planes over a number of areas in south Lebanon.
