Russian envoy arrives in Beirut

Russian Deputy FM Victor Posovaluke arrived in Beirut yesterday. He said that he is carrying a communique from Russian Foreign Minister Yevgeny Primakov to his Lebanese counterpart, Fares Boueiz.
He stressed that Russia's efforts in the peace process along with the US and the European Union. "We are contacting the US in this respect," he said.
