Algeria - Sudan to ease tension

ArabicNews.com learned that Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Ismael met with his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, before leaving Doha, to help ease tense relations between the countries.

The Sudanese minister said he supports the reforms made by the Algerian government to achieve stable political, social and development in Algeria. He also added that the Algerian violence is not totally related to Islamists.

The Sudanese minister also met with the United Nations Secretary-General's representative, al-Akhdar al-Ibrahim, in which they tackled the situation in Sudan and Khartoum's relations with the UN.

Ismael also met with Qatari Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa to deliver a communique from Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir which tackled international and regional issues.
