Iraq pilgrims to fly Egypt Air

Egypt Air corporation has agreed to transmit Iraqi pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to perform the pilgrimage this year.
Engineer Mohammed Fahim Rayan, the chairman of Egypt Air said the corporation received a request from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry about the possibility of transporting Iraqi pilgrims according to the Iraqi authorities request.
He added that these negotiations will start immediately among Egypt Air officials and Iraqi civil aviation officials to discuss how to obtian UN approval to start these trips, the methods by which it will be done, and air routes crossing Iraq.
Once the agreement is reached, an air bridge will be established between Baghdad and Jeddah and airplanes from the Egyptian aviation fleet will be designated to serve these trips.
