Syrian - Turkish realtions get boost at OIC's Doha conference

Turkey used the Islamic foreign ministers' conference in Doha to go a long way toward easing the tensions in its relations with Arab states, which were on the rise because of Turkey's military relationship with Israel.
Moreover, Turkey succeeded in dragging down a draft resolution condemning Ankara for its military relationship with Israel. This happens after a meeting held between the Turkish foreign minister, Ismail Cem ,and his Syrian counterpart, Farouk al-Sharaa.
Consequently, Turkey dragged down a draft resolution condemning Syria.
A meeting was held on the margin of the conference, that succeeded in approaching the points of view and dealing with different matters. This meeting is the first between the two ministers for a long time. The source described that the meeting as the beginning of a stage of dialogue between Syria and Turkey adding that: "We will be cautious."
ArabicNews.com was informed that after the meeting between Sharaa and Cem, Sharaa said there is no need for the renewal of Turkey's accusations again after being condemned at the last Islamic summit.
