Syrian Baath Party chief confers with Chile's Renewal Party chief

The Syrian Baath Party's assistant secretary-general, Abdullah al-Ahmar, on Monday discussed with the secretary-general of the Renewal Party in Chile, Pedro Sabat means of consolidating cooperation ties between the two parties in the service of the two countries' interests.
Talks also dealt with the situation in the region and the ME peace process. The two sides discussed the role of the Arab community in Chile in enhancing relations between Chile and their motherland Arab states. Sabat highlighted the role and the activities of the Arab community in Chile. He called for fostering relations with Arab expatriates and their homelands to serve Arab national causes.
