Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa on Monday met with Saudi counterpart Prince Saud al-Faisal. Talks dealt with developments in the region and an Islamic position to confront US and Israeli policy.
On Sunday evening al-Sharaa met with his Turkish counterpart, Ismail Cem. Talks dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and means of eliminating obstacles impeding the improvement of Turkish-Syrian and Arab relations.
Al-Sharaa also met with his Iranian counterpart Kamal Kharazi and discussed with him conditions in the region and certain items listed on the agenda of the Islamic ministerial conference.
On Monday afternoon, al-Sharaa' discussed with his Sudanese counterpart Mustafa Othman Ismael the Arab situation, the improvement in Sudanese - Egyptian relations and the question of Arab solidarity.
Al-Sharaa' said his meeting with Turkey's Cem came at the initiative of the Turkish minister, and addressed bilateral relations, which have been affected by the military accord signed between Turkey and Israel.
The Syrian FM asserted the need to reconsider this accord because it is connected with the region's security and stability and to improve Syrian-Turkish relations.
