Mubarak discusses peace process with British FM

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak and British Foreign Minister Robin Cook will meet to will discuss European ideas for enhancing the peace process, as Britain is the current head of European Union.
Discussions will focuse primarily on the Palestinian track. This comes in light of talks between British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in London the last week, as well as Cook's visit with the Palestinian leadership.
Cook's tour aims at activating the European role in the peace process through the British presidency by coordinating with the United Sates within Blair's readiness to launch a regional tour in the coming month.
Cook's meeting with Mubarak will also tackle the Iraqi situation based upon the agreement signed between Iraq and the United Nations, easing the suffering of the Iraqi people and Mediterranean - European cooperation in Pakistan's process and political and security obstacles due to Israeli government's polices.
Meawhile Cook's planned visit to the planned Jabal Abu Ghaneim settlement in East Jerusalem angered Israeli officials. Fox News reported that Israeli advisor David Bar-Illan called the visit "provocative" and criticized European involvement in the peace process as biased, and quoted Prime Minister Netanyahu as saying, "Jerusalem remains and will remain the indisputable, indivisible capital of Israel."
