Military electronics exhibition opens in Abu Dhabi

United Arab Emirates Defense Minister Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid al-Maktoum on Sunday opened a specialized exhibition for electronics used in the armament sector.
Some 220 participants from 30 countries are taking part in the Triple International Defense Exhibition (Tridex), covering three military sectors on electronic communications training, telecommunications devices, and logistic and medical aid.
Chairman of the exhibition's organizing committee Maj. Lt. Sultan al-Sweidi said emphasis was made on the three aforesaid sectors because of their importance in the Gulf countries, the Middle East and Asia.
British Defense Secretary George Robertson arrived Sunday in the UAE to attend the exhibition.
