Iranian - Saudi relations highlighted

Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Kamal Kharazi said the closeness between Iran and Saudi Arabia will have a positive impact on Iranian - Arab relations as a whole.
In a statement to Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am on Sunday, Kharazi said that this close relationship between the two countries would help clear the atmosphere between Iran and the Arab states, adding that the current objective of Iranian policy is to strengthen relations with the Gulf states, a matter which would foster bilateral understanding toward the establishment of security and stability in the Gulf region.
On results of his visit to Saudi Arabia, Kharazi said that his visit to Riyadh opened new horizons in relations not only between Iran and Saudi Arabia, but between all countries of the region, stating that strengthening Iranian-Gulf relations on solid grounds would serve common interests in the region.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's second deputy premier and defense minister, Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, received a communique on Sunday from his Iranian counterpart. No information was reported on the content of the message. It was conveyed by Iran's ambassador in Riyadh upon meeting with the prince Sultan.
