Pope Shenouda: Arabs are always silent, satisfied with crying
Regional, Religion, 3/14/1998

Coptic Church Pope Shenouda said the best solution to the Palestinian case is that Palestine must be fully independent and self-governed, not under local rule within Israeli rule.

Pope Shenouda said Jews have intensive public relations efforts that spans direct communications with US organizations to meeting with US congressmen, while Arabs wail about their luck without taking any positive action to improve the situation. He asked why do Arabs not make similar efforts and form an Arab lobby to offset the Jewish lobby.

He went on to ask why all Arab embassies and politicians do not engage in political communication with congressmen and politicians, media outlets, and broadcasters, stating that the international climate is ready for such a step because of tense Israeli - US relationships.
