A new escalation of violence in Algeria

The Algerian armed forces were able to overcome 19 terrorists, including Germal Mokhtari, a leader of the Armed Islamic Group in El-Somaa region of Blida state, as five citizens were killed in a massacre committed by an armed terrorist group in the region of Sidi Kowider in Temelita state, south of the Algerian capital.
Meanwhile, Abdel Meguid Seidy El-Said, the secretary-general of the Algerian Labor Union, announced that they suspended all strikes and protests until President Liamine Zeroual returns from medical evaluations in Switzerland.
