3.5 billion German mark increase in trade between Egypt and Germany

The German ambassador in Cairo during a tour yesterday of the German section at the International Cairo Market, stated that Germany is the number two Egyptian trading partner, representing 3.5 billion German marks in 1997 in bilateral trade.
He said Egypt represents an important partner for Germany in the Arab world.
