Caspian pipeline meeting will be held in Muscat

Oman's minister of commerce and industry and the chairman of Oman Oil Company, Ltd disclosed that meetings of shareholders in the Caspian pipeline consortium will be held for the first time, in Muscat at the Al-Bustan Palace hotel on March 17 - 18.
"It was a great honor for Oman to host these meetings, especially since this is the first time they have been held outside Moscow," the minister added.
Oman is a founding member, along with Russia and Kazakhstan, of the Caspian pipeline consortium, which was formed to construct a 1500-kilometer crude oil pipeline to transport petrol from the oil fields of western Kazakhstan to the Russian Black sea port of Novorossiysk.
