Mubarak accepts invitation from Yemen

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak received and accepted a formal invitation from Yemeni President Ali Abdallah Saleh to visit Yemen. A time-frame for the visit has not yet been set.
Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghany, head of the advisory council in Yemen delivered the invitation during a meeting with President Mubarak. Ghany is visiting Egypt at the invitation of the head of the consultation council, Dr. Mostafa Kamal Helmi.
Ghany said Yemen has succeeded in reducing inflation from 60% to less than 10%, raising the growth rate in the year 1996 to 6%, and reducing Russian debts from $6.7 billion to $400 million dollars.
Ghany said the expansion of the harbor in Aden is continuing.
