Egyptian ambassador suing Israeli belly dancer

Mohammed Bassiouni, Egypt's ambassador in Tel Aviv, held a special meeting with the legal counselor of the Egyptian embassy in Israel to study the possibility of pressing legal charges against an Israeli belly dancer, asking her to pay suitable compensation regarding her accusation that Bassiouni molested her.
The Israeli general prosecutor closed his investigation after finding that the dancer was trying to blackmail Basiouni and pressure on the Egyptian government to release the Israeli spy Azam Azam.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry told the Israeli authorities to close the case and present an apology to the Egyptian ambassador.
