UAE President confers with UN envoy on Iraqi crisis

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan on Wednesday discussed with the UN secretary-general's advisor, Elakhder al-Ibrahimi, results of the accord Iraq recently concluded with the UN, Gulf News Agency reported.
Gulf News Agency quoted al-Ibraheimi as saying following the meeting that Sheikh Zayed expressed hope for the lifting of sanctions imposed on the people of Iraq.
