Hubert Vedrine concludes visit to Saudi Arabia

French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine said that France and the European Union are continuously working to prevent the death of the Middle East peace process, contacting all parties concerned and urging the US to take a balanced position in this process.
Concluding his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, Vedrine said his talks with Saudi officials dealt with the peace process, the accord concluded between Iraq and the UN, and the importance of fully applying the agreement as well as conditions in Kosovo.
The French Foreign Minstry said that France would like to have a "more present and active" business presence in Saudi Arabia, and said that there was a discussion of the outline of economic cooperation.
