Iraqi parliamentary delegation to visit Cairo

A delegation from the Iraqi parliament, under Ghalab Al-Gasem, the chairman of endowments, religious and health affairs, arrived yesterday in Cairo.
The delegation is expected to hold talks with the chairman of the Egyptian people's council and chairman of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Ahmed Fathi Srour, and members of the people's council to express the Iraqi viewpoint concerning Iraq - United Nations agreement regarding inspections for weapons of mass destruction.
The group will also discuss the sanctions imposed on Iraq and their effects on the Iraqi people who face poverty and hunger and who demand that the sanctions be lifted.
Meanwhile, Iraq decided to reduce customs fees imposed on goods of Arab origin.
