Abdel Meguid cancels Algeria visit due to conflict

The secretary-general of the Arab League, Esmat Abdel Meguid, canceled a visit to Algeria, that was to begin today.
Diplomatic sources in the Arab League [AL] said there are disputes between the Algerian government and the AL because Algeria totally refuses to discuss any of its internal affairs and it required the AL to say that this visit was to discuss Arab disputes, the Iraqi crisis and Lockerbie.
When the AL refused to do this, it called off the visit, saying that Algerian President Liamine Zeroual is launching a visit to Europe.
