WTO chief to participate in Morocco symposium
Morocco, Economics, 3/9/1998
The director-general of the World Trade Organization, Renato Ruggiero, will pay a visit to Morocco at the beginning of the coming week at the invitation of the industrial and trade exchange chamber in Casablanca in order to participate in the symposium called "From GATT to the World Trade Organization: 50 years of the multilateral trade system."
The symposium, to be held on March 12, will be arranged by the Moroccan Bank of Foreign Trade in coordination with the international trade chamber in Morocco.
A source in the committee that organized the symposium said the symposium's goal was to acknowledge the Moroccan and foreign businessman in the trade organization, its laws, and agreements upon which the members states are negotiating.
