Lebanon denies secret meeting with Israeli officials

Lebanon on Thursday dismissed reports of a secret meeting between a Lebanese official and two Israeli delegates in Paris as "baseless."
The denial was in response to a report in the Israeli Yediot Ahronot newspaper, which reported a meeting between Danny Naveh and Uzi Arad, both close aides to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and an unnamed Lebanese official with "close ties" to Lebanese President Elias Hrawi.
The paper said the secret meeting in Paris was preceded by talks ten days earlier, in Geneva.
A statement released by the presidential palace said the newspaper report was "completely untrue."
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday also responded to the reports, by "denying this information."
