Palestinian official describes visit to Damascus as successful

Palestinian Cabinet Secretary Assad Abdul Rahman, described his visit to Damascus as very successful and at the same time denied reports by the Israeli radio that he did not meet with any Syrian officials.
Jordanian daily al-Doustour quoted Abdul Rahman as saying that during his visit to Damascus he met with several Syrian officials and discussed with them current Arab conditions. He added that he briefed the Syrian officials on the latest developments concerning Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
He also said he did not discuss the question of the Palestinian refugees in Syria and Lebanon during his visit.
