UAE takes steps to prevent petroleum smuggling

The United Arab Emirates is taking strict measures to prevent the smuggling of petroleum from Iraq due to a series of accidents in regional waters as a result of the sinking of small tankers carrying Iraqi petroleum, owned by Iranian owners, that caused environmental damage.
The UAE's cabinet issued a resolution to prohibit the use of barges, tankers and ships as floating warehouses transporting petroleum or any of its derivatives.
