Iranian President supports Lebanon's struggle against Israel

Iranian President Muhammad Khatami today in Tehran discussed with Lebanese Minister of Displaced Persons Walid Jumblatt means of strengthening and consolidating bilateral relations, as well as conditions in south Lebanon, the Middle East and the Gulf.
President Khatami stressed Iran's desire to preserve Lebanon's unity and territorial integrity and called for supporting the struggle waged by the Lebanese resistance against the Israeli occupation to liberate the usurped lands.
Jumblatt stressed the need to boost relations between Lebanon and Iran for mutual interests and called upon Iran to back Lebanon to liberate its lands.
