Iraq is to honor accord signed with the UN, Aziz says

Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz today said that Iraq will honor the accord it signed with the UN concerning disarmament. Commenting on the UN resolution approved yesterday, Aziz said: "We have signed a accord with the UN Secretary General and we are committed to the items of this accord."
Meanwhile, Iraq's ambassador to the UN Nizar Hamdoun on Monday said that statements he made to CNN on Sunday were misunderstood. Hamdoun was quoted as saying that diplomats will be responsible for weapons inspection teams, noting to inspection of presidential palaces.
He added that he said the UN Secretary General will have the authority concerning the work plan.
