Palestinian official: Clinton promissed to implement third phase

A Palestinian official told ArabicNews.com that the Palestinian leadership received a promise from US President Bill Clinton to implementing the third phase of Israeli troop redeployment in the Palestinian territories.
The officials said that Palestinain President Yasser Arafat informed European officials and Egyptian President Hosni Mobarak during his recent meeting and his visit to Brussels of Israeli obstruction of the peace process.
Arafat said that during his communications with the American administration that any future move or efforts by the US to restart the stalled peace process should address three points: the importance of the third phase of redeployment, implementing the dues of the transitional phase, as well as halting the buliding of Israeli settlements.
