Former Israeli intelligence chief: Israel has to leave Golan

Former chief of the Israeli intelligence agency Yuri Saghi said Israel should give up the occupied Syrian Golan Heights if it is determined to reach peace with Syria.
Radio Orient's correspondent in London said in a lecture he made on Saturday in London, Saghi recommended that Israeli officials reconsider their position regarding the peace process.
Saghi added "I personally do not like the idea of giving up the Golan, but such a tendency is just emotional, impractical and not in the interest of the Hebrew state for the long run."
