Reconciliation between Iraq and Kuwait to take place

Yesterday sources said they expect that a sort of reconciliation between Iraq and Kuwait will take place soon. Iraqi newspapers reported communications to reconcile views between Baghdad and Kuwait and to hold a reconciliation talks.
The Iraqi newspaper El-Zawraa said the head of the Arab Parliamentary Union made contacts between Iraq and Kuwait aiming to initiate a reconciliation very soon.
The APU head said the communications that he made between the two countries are a kind of implementation to the resolution of the sixth conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, recently held in Morocco, in which they highlighted the treatment of disputes between the Arab states. He announced that he is going to pay visits to both Iraq and Kuwait and will hold meetings with the two countries' parliamentary officials.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz confirmed yesterday his country's willingness to make efforts to normalize its relations with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the U.S., and he promised that Iraq will implement the agreement signed with Kofi Annan the secretary-general of the UN.
