Algerian treasury reserves record US $8.5 billion

Despite the drastic deterioration in oil prices, Algerian Finance Minister Abdul Karim Hirshawi on Wednesday said that reserves of the Algerian Treasury are at US $8.5 billion in hard currency, enough to fund the country's imports for nine months.
