Last respects for Qasem Ali Hamdan, killed by Israel

Lebanese national resistance forces on Tuesday afternoon attacked a joint Israeli - Lahd militia military position inside the occupied zone of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said one of its groups attacked the post twice on Tuesday, scoring direct hits.

Earlier another resistance group attacked a Lahd's militia patrol when it was heading toward an Israeli army post in Kafer Houna. Resistance sources said fighters rocketed and machine-gunned the patrol. A military personnel carrier was directly hit. The occupants of the carrier were killed or wounded, the statement added.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops continued to launch attacks on towns close to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Security sources said Israeli artillery shelled the towns of Majdal Sulum, Shakra, Salouqi, Zouter and some areas of al-Tuffah district.

More than 60 missiles fell over those towns while Israeli warplanes were seen making intensified sorties over the entire area, the Lebanese resistance added.

On Tuesday, at dawn, Israeli helicopters raided the outskirts of Majdal Sulum town.

It added that the Lebanese resistance for the third time on Tuesday attacked Kafer Houna position inside the occupied strip of south Lebanon.

Meantime, the Lebanese resistance payed last respects today to Qasem Ali Hamdan who was killed during an operation carried out by Lebanese resistance forces on Monday against Israeli troops.
