Jordan receives Iranian message

Iranian president and curent chairman of the Islamic Conference Mohammed Khatami sent a letter to King Hussein of Jordan, dealing with the Iraqi crisis and diplomatic efforts to resolve it.
It was handed to the king by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammed Sader who is in Amman on an official visit to Jordan.
The king expressed his hope that the new Iraqi-UN deal signed in Baghdad this week would lead to the implementation of all relevant UN resolutions and serve as a prelude to the removal of sanctions imposed on the Iraqi people after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait in 1990.
