Unemployment in Jordan

A study released by the Jordanian Ministry of Labor said the unemployment rate in Jordan reached 14.1%. The study added that 74.3 % of the unemployed are young people, of whom some 44% have been waiting for a job vacancy for over one year.
The highest percentage of people seeking job vacancies is in Amman, followed by al-Zarqa city and Irbid in the south, the study said.
