Saudi Arabia for further West-East understanding

Saudi Arabian Minister of Information Fuad al-Farisi on Tuesday said that Western media's attitude towards the Arabs has a lot of misconceptions.
Gulf News Agency quoted al-Farisi as saying in a speech he delivered at the third session of the Arab-European information conference today that judgements of Western media concerning the Arabs are unrealistic.
He hoped that Western media will work seriously to find out more communication and understanding channels between the East and the West rather than embarking on destructive criticism which only yields more friction between the two sides.
