Israeli intelligence chief resigned over failure to assassinate Hamas chief

Israeli intelligence chief Danny Yatom on Tuesday submitted his resignation following the failed assassination attempt against Palestinian Hamas official Khaled Mishal in Jordan, Israeli radio reported.
Israeli radio and Israeli army radio reported that Yatom submitted his resignation during his meeting on Tuesday with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
