Moussa: Iraq agreement creates optimism

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said that the agreement reached between Iraq and the U.N. aims at easing the tension in the Gulf region and that it is an essential step toward satisfying international demands.
Moussa said: "We hope that this agreement will remove the regional tension" caused by the situation, stating that this agreement creates an optimistic atmosphere that he hopes will be reflected in a general optimism at the international and regional levels.
Moussa said Egypt will have to wait and follow up on the situation for it had not been informed of the text of the agreement till now.
