Yemeni delegation to visit Russia

An economic delegation from the Yemeni government will be headed to Moscow on the February 25 to hold negotiations concerning settling debts and negotiating a bilateral agreement.
Yemeni debts to Russia total $6.7 billion, most of it from military sales with the "Southern Yemen" before the Yemeni unification.
Russia dropped 80% of the debts after joining the Paris Club last yearwhile appling "Napoli's conditions" on the rest.
The undersecretary of the Yemeni Ministry of Finance, Ahmed Galab said that U.S. debts of $20 million will be settled soon through an agreement signed by the American ambassador in Sanaa with the Yemeni minister of finance, Alawi Al-Salami and the governer of the central bank, Ahmed Al-Samawi.
