US - Saudi business council meeting delayed

The US - Saudi - business council decided to delay its fourth meeting which was planned for March 14 in Riyadh until the coming autumn.
The delay came as a result of the current Iraqi crisis. The council took its decision in order to enable the largest-possible number of US companies to participate in the meeting.
The sources linked the delay of the meeting with the death of Maemoum Kordi, the deputy Saudi foreign minister (who was among the main personalities in the talks between the two parties) and also with ministerial meetings of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries on the same date.
