Death and injury of 26 Algerian citizens

Armed Islamic Group attackers in Algeria killed 19 persons and injured 7, when it ambushed a transport truck in Gigel in eastern Algeria.
The Algerian newspapers al-Watan and al-Khaber said yesterday that the terrorists exploded a bomb in the truck's path and opened fire on its passengers.
Meanwhile, elements of self-defense groups were able to neutralize a bomb which was placed on a road linking two villages in Ein El-Dakhla state in western Algeria, where they wanted to blow up a student's bus in the region.
