Alcohol factory in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi daily Economic issued on Thursday reported that Saudi security authorities found a secret factory for alcohol processing and bottling in Jeddah.
The paper elaborated the factory was erected in a villa and the police received complaints from neighbors about bad smells from the place.
As the policemen broke into the place they arrested one Saudi man and three Ethiopians (one man and two women) who were manufacturing the alcohol. The policemen found 1,750 Arak (a Middle Eastern alcoholic beverage) bottles and 7,920 liters of wines filled in barrels. They admitted they have been distributing these alcoholic drinks.
Alcohol is taboo in Saudi Arabia which commits itself to the provisions of the Islamic Shariaa. Those who drink or sell drinks are jailed.
