Egyptian company agrees to export food products to Iraq

Engineer Abdel El-Shawi, the head of the Holding Company for Food Industries, said his company signed a contract with the General Company for Trading Foodstuffs in Iraq, for the export of 150,000 tons of sugar, 10,000 tons of artificial gee, 15,000 tons of soap, and 6,000 tons of artificial detergents at a total value of $35 million.
El-Shawi is currently in communication with the Foreign Ministry to obtain the approval of the compensation committee at the United Nations for the contract within the oil-for-food program between the UN and Iraq.
